This year, Chloe and I took off to spend some good quality time with my sister and her family in Iowa. Brett was not able to come this time because of school. Hopefully in a few years he might be able to take some time off to visit again.
Chloe and I stayed there for just under two weeks and still it seemed like we had no time what so ever. Like with all visits, we try and accomplish so much while we are there. We like to help out at the farm and it makes us feel good knowing that there is less for Tracy and Phil to do by themselves.
This trips list:
Turn over the garden and plant it.
Eat at delicious restaurants
Help all of the laboring animals: sheep, cat, and chicken eggs ( OK I guess the Chickens were already done with their part)- Oh I was calling their farm "Fertile Farm" because everything seemed to be pregnant...except for us humans!-
Work on down stairs bathroom
make aprons
visit a new place
and most important item we HAD to get done...
spend some much needed quality time together.
Chloe had found a love for cats. Thankfully Tracy had two of them that were wonderful with the kids. The female cat, Belly, was due to have kittens any day. It just so happens that the day we left she went into labor and delivered 5 healthy baby kittens that night. Oh well, I hope Tracy took pictures of them.
OK so this post has been keeping me from posing for about 4 months now, so I just need to finish it. I will just leave you with that I love Love Love going to Iowa to visit my family. It is one of the most peaceful places you can go, at least in the Midwest. I even catch myself longing to be out there again, maybe it is just the company, or the stillness, or the feeling of serenity, whatever it is, there is a part of me that longs to be there. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do and I hope they can tell you a story that I am just not into writing right now. (There is just so much I want to say and too many pictures I want to post.)
